Set off to explore Saint-Ambroix and the ruins of its medieval castles, Barjac and its ramparts, the characterful village of Lussan or Goudargues and its canal. The Gard from the Cévennes to the Camargue will offer you rural landscapes with endemic vegetation as well as breathtaking panoramas. Visit many caves such as Traduc, Salamandre, Cocalière... Nîmes and the Roman Museum as well as the essentials of Gard, the Bois des Species, the Camargue and the Salins du Midi, the Carbonnière Tower... Many hiking trailheads are located less than 100m from the house.

Canoeing on the rivers Gardon or Cèze, or for the more daring, attempt canyoning. Other activities such as horse riding, paragliding, climbing, golf or mountain biking are also available.

Cultural excursions: The Roman Pont du Gard and arena in Nîmes, the Palais des Papes in Avignon and for the little (and not so little) ones, the famous Haribo sweet museum.
